In a few months a new Whole Foods will be at the centre of our
neighbourhood (it's always an honour to endeavour to spell things the
Canadian/UK way...sorry; habit from the proposal I edited for Canada).
Whenever a suitable building becomes available, many in our area call
for a Trader Joe's, but when Dominick's closed up, our nearest one was
snapped up by Whole Foods, who put up an Opening Soon! sign
immediately...and by Soon! they meant a year and a half. We'll still
have to go downtown for Trader Joe's...that's the one most
conveniently reached by public transit.

We do sometimes trek to the giant, purpose-built Whole Foods that
claims it's in tony Lincoln Park but is almost half a mile out of that
neighbourhood. Their hot-food-by-the-pound area is gigantic, and you
can take your purchase upstairs to a large balcony area or even an
outside patio along the river and enjoy your food while you berate
yourself for putting in so many radishes, chicken on the bone, and
other heavy items to run up the price.
