Well, we once had a parish family named D'Arrigo, and they pronounced it 
"Darrigo"

For years I've heard locals of every stripe refer to the D'Arrigo Bros 
farming entity as "Dee-Arrigo".  And since I've gone Food Network, I've 
heard everyone there refer to chef Melissa D'Arabian as "Dee-Arabian".  Am I 
alone in wondering why no one honors the apostrophe?  It's "Darrigo" and 
"Darabian", phonetically speaking.  (Right?)
