I omitted also saying that Marcy and I have each planned our funerals which are now on file at St. Bede’s, Atlanta. I’ve prepaid all fees for the services and interment of our ashes in St. Bede’s Memorial Garden.

This is a troubling thought to me, as I have come to view hospitals (in the scope of my experience) dealing with the elderly rather pro-active to prolong life at any cost (procedures, machines, etc) and to intimidate/guilt family members. This combination of seeking patient ascent in the face of documentation for 'another way' and aggressive hospital action I have experienced before it was actually a 'life or death' situation, is something I just have to 'let go' of as mom and I move forward, and hope that circumstances like that do not present themselves.
