The only Jewish family in my home county of NW Wisconsin
lived next door.  They had one child, named Moses (everyone
called him Mosey) who was a body builder and quite a show-off
in the warmer months, since his barbells were in the open garage
easily viewable from the street.
 
I was an amusing sight to see Mosey oiled up and posing in 
scandalously brief trunks while his mother mowed the lawn.
 
In any case since there were few persons of color in my home
county (source: US Census) my school was of necessity lily white
and of North-European ethnicity with one exception:  Ervin Pike,  a
Native American. 
 
There were two small local American Indian reservations, really so 
small that they were called "bands" of the Chippewa Nation in the  county
(Danbury and Hertel).  They were pitifully poor then, but  how things have
changed.  Both locations have gambling casinos, and are rolling in  the
dough.
 
Hopefully, they've done something about the 90% Indian addiction to  what
my father always referred to as "firewater".
