Definitely way cool! Weather was unusually sunny - just a few high thin clouds which didn't spoil anything. Didn't get totally dark - you could see Jupiter & Venus, but that was it. There was light off to the southeast, where it wasn't total. The most surprising thing was how cold it got - apparently the temp. dropped 10 degrees (F), but it felt colder than that. Next one is in two years, in Spain! The darkness deepened and they fell silent. There wasn't a sound!. It was so dark, an odd unrelieved darkness, and cold. Outdoor lights came on here and there. And then suddenly it was becoming light again. Maybe I didn't see the main feature, but my experience was memorable Marion, a pilgrim ... today my sail I lift ....
