Professional Exchanges

THIS SECTION CONTAINS NOTICES from individuals interested in a short-term swap, sabbatical or holiday exchange with counterparts in other Anglican churches. Examples would include a member of the clergy in Canada who wishes to arrange an exchange with a member of the clergy in New Zealand or an organist in a Church of England parish who wants to exchange with an organist in the States.

If you email us, giving us the particulars of your desired situation, we shall be glad to list your individual notices at Anglicans Online. People who are interested in the possibility of an exchange with you will contact you directly, so be certain that you do not mind our publicising your email contact information with your notice. We'll keep your listing in this section for at least 60 days from the time it is first posted, or longer if that seems appropriate.

If you are considering an exchange that would require a good deal of planning in advance by both parties, we would urge you to email your information to Anglicans Online as soon as you have the details determined.

Please note at the moment we cannot accept listings for this section from individuals wanting to exchange houses for a holiday or situations-vacant notices. We are at present restricting the section to professional exchanges only.

Clergy exchanges

Yorkshire --> New Zealand, autumn 2016 to spring 2017
The Revd John Walden and Alison Walden, of Harrogate in North Yorkshire UK, are interested in a holiday swap with a priest in a New Zealand Pacific diocese. John is a retired Minister in Starbeck, a suburb of Harrogate. He and Alison live in a lovely bungalow in Wentworth Drive, Starbeck Post Code HG2 7LA (see Google Street View) which is near the beautiful Yorkshire Dales area. You would have no specific duties for the term of the exchange though assisting at St Andrew's Church is always appreciated. Contact me at revjefw@gmail.com if you are interested
.

USA South Carolina--> UK or Europe, 2017
'The Revd Dr. Donald Fishburne and Sarah have a three-bedroom house on the mainland at Pawleys Island South Carolina, USA available on a limited basis. Near the beach. Pleasant in the spring and fall, hot beach weather in the extended summer. Less than two hour drive from lovely Charleston and its Airport and only 40 minutes from the Myrtle Beach airport. Exchange preferences beginning in 2017 are UK or Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe, or Church of England posts in Europe — in exchange for very light duty at the mainland and mainline Episcopal Church at Pawleys Island. Contact Donald@DonaldFishburne.net and see more about him at that site.'
