Bishops will get Episcopal-Lutheran document today Called to Common Mission will be introduced as a special order in the House of Bishops today at 11:30a.m.The document will be introduced by Bishop Edward Lee, chair of the bishops' ecumenical legislative committee. If approved by the bishops, the resolutions--A40, A41 and A42--move to the House of Deputies for debate, with a decision expected either Friday afternoon or Saturday. If approved by both houses, General Convention will make ecumenical history by adopting a proposal for full communion and the interchange of clergy with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. |
