Conference on the Religious Life

Monks, nuns and associates of the church's religious orders emerge from a warm, dim St. John's Cathedral Sunday afternoon. Twenty-four member communities of the Conference on the Religious Life were celebrating the conference's 50th anniversary with a solemn evensong and a reception on the lawn. Clouds of incense accompanied the religious as they processed earlier through the nave of the great gothic church.
